Holiday Gift Ideas for Her
One: Cozy Blankets
Barefoot Dreams // CozyChic Safari Blanket $136 on Amazon |
It is officially cozy blanket season and this is probably one of the most luxe blankets I have/will ever own! I mean, there is a reason why the Kardashians are constantly showcasing these comfy throws on their social media, besides their cute aesthetic qualities. I personally own two of these blankets in neutral colors and will continue to turn my thermostat down to 68 degrees in order to be cold enough to continue justifying buying them.
Two: Furry Slippers
Three: Luxe Pillowcases
Silvon Pillowcase in silver // set of two $70 |
Gifting a pillowcase for the holidays might seem a bit strange, but I promise you it is an amazing gift to receive! I loved receiving my silk pillowcase, which is known to prevent hair breakage and wrinkles, and have gifted them to many of my friends and family. Yet, this holiday season I think gifting any silver ion infused bedding will be a hit! I know that for me personally, my family loves cuddling up in bed with our smaller, furry family members and this bedding, being infused with silver ions, stops the spread of dust mites and bacteria. With the world's frequent mask-wearing these days, many of us are struggling with breakouts as well and these pillowcases are proven to eliminate the increase of acne-causing bacteria! I am sold!
Four: Gold Hoops
Nespresso Aerocinno 3 // $99 |
I love using my milk frothing machine while at school; it is perfect for hot or cold frothed milk (I preferably use almond! YUM) and amazing when paired with the Starbucks cold brew medium roast coffee. I swear this is the combo that got me through the 6+ months of isolation during quarantine when Starbucks was closed. I ended up taking my milk frothing machine back to college with me and my mom, who became slightly obsessed as well during the quarantine, ended up repurchasing one for our home so she could use it more regularly. Fun Tip: adding fun syrup flavors in with the milk to froth is a perfect topping to any hot/cold coffee!
Six: Weighted Blanket
Baloo Cotton Weighted Blanket // $169 |
I guess this blog post is turning into a recommendation gift guide for her, seeing as I keep referring to previous gifts/products I have received or purchased for myself! This Baloo blanket is a blanket of dreams, alongside the Barefoot Dreams Blanket. I sleep with both while at home in Florida- this duo, paired with an actual full-size queen bed is so luxe to me; Any other college students out there may know what I mean when I say it hurts to go back to a dorm-size, XL twin bed after weeks of that comfiness at home!! This blanket is a great gift for your loved ones with anxiety, trouble sleeping, or just overall restlessness during the nighttime hours! There are definitely some cheaper alternatives out there but I know that the quality of this product is top of the market, especially well done, and will last a long time.
Seven: Diffusers & Candles
William Sonoma, Vanilla Cedarwood candle and diffuser gift set // $45 |
Eight: Hair Oil
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil // 3.4 Fl Oz. $87 |
If I could only use one hair product for the rest of my life (besides shampoo & conditioners of course) it would be this! The Gisou honey infused hair oil is HANDS DOWN the best hair oil I have used on my color treated, thick, long hair. I started using this product during high school, a year or so after a terrible dye job (horror-story worthy) and it completely changed my hair game! After seeing my results, my mom started using mine, eventually going on to purchase a bottle for herself; she actually started receiving compliments at our, then, local Starbucks for how great her hair looked after two or so uses. Gorgeous, glorious hair doesn't have to take years to achieve; I've done the deep conditioning treatments, the masks, the salon treatments, and just about everything else, and while those do sometimes work, this product gave me results at home and helped my hair regrow into the healthy, beautiful locks I was missing. It comes in two sizes, one perfect for trying out and/or traveling and then a bigger bottle for the lovers, like me. Plus, Sephora just started stocking it so stay tuned for those seasonal sales!
Nine: Dyson Air Wrap
Dyson Air Wrap // $400 |
There is not a dupe I could compare this to at the moment (such a new product, harder to find those great dupes!) but when I say this is hair goals, sending those DryBar-worthy blow out inspirations right into your bathroom at home, I mean it! My hair, as mentioned early, is color-treated and quite long/thick. I have had many struggles with over-bleaching at salons, breakage, heat damage, etc. and this tool has made my once frizz/semi-fried feeling hair look and feel luscious!! I recently purchased those hair drying rollers that you put in during/right after blow drying, and although they give my grandma vibes, I love the look of how windswept my hair is! Dyson has many videos online showing different ways to use the tools to style your hair, making this tool super easy for beginners to learn on their own head! In comparison to my Dyson blow dryer, which I still love, I find that I get SO much more use out of this tool and its interchangeable heads, and would go on to recommend it to anyone out there who loves blow-outs, at home hair-styling, and/or just an overall beautiful, blow out appearance.
Ten: Skincare
Nordstrom's La Mer Gift Set // $95 |
I, personally, am a big lover of La Mer skincare, and after reading the backstory of this brand and it's creator I fell even more in love. I truly feel like I am healing my skin with every use of their products. This gift set is a perfect stocking stuffer for any of your skincare-obsessed junkies (like me! woo!), with small editions of their Treatment Lotion, Eye Concentrate, New Concentrate, and Soft Moisturizing cream (my fav of all time)! The scent of their products is light and natural, which is great for people who have sensitive skin. I also think this is a great way to try out their products without committing to a big, expensive purchase of their beauty and skincare items! Many of the items on my Christmas list this year was inclusive to La Mer, and after trying quite a handful of their products I feel very confident and comfortable saying that they know whats up with the luxe skincare hype and I would continue repurchasing them forever and ever!
So, its safe to say I have recommended a bunch of my favorite things! I love each of these products with fervor and would love to see many people this holiday season receiving wonderful, thought-provoking items from the people they care about- but it must be remembered that the holidays are not about the gifts, although breaking the bank on your loved ones can be super fun, ( I love to shop for others and give gifts I've specifically picked just for them!) it is all about spending time with loved ones and giving back, no matter how big or small, to those in need. Now, I'm officially off to go watch some holiday movies with my mom, as well as study for my upcoming finals!
